As of 2015, neither the government nor the general public officially recognise Daughter’s Week in the United States. The unofficial Sons and Daughters Day is typically observed on April 11.
Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, which occurs on the fourth Thursday of April, is another official holiday. The Ms. Foundation for Women created this holiday in 1993 so that children could learn about the workplace. Originally known as Take Our Daughters to Work Day, the holiday was expanded to include boys in 2003.
