What Is Omnipoint Communications and How Does It Work?

Omnipoint Corporation was a phone service provider with headquarters in the Midwest. In February of 2000, it merged with VoiceStream Wireless. T-Mobile was the company’s subsequent name.

Omnipoint Communications joined with the other VoiceStream firms on February 25, 2000, to form a single entity. T-Mobile was formed in July 2002 after several more mergers and acquisitions.

From 2011 through 2014, the Complaints Board received reports of suspected scam calls from a “Omnipoint Communications, Inc.” requesting for personal information. These calls originate from various phone numbers. Omnipoint Communications hasn’t existed since the VoiceStream merger in 2000, therefore it’s unclear who’s making the calls.
