What Is a Good Theme for a Church Anniversary?

The Official King James Bible Online suggests “Proclaiming the complete will of God” from Acts 20:27 and “Taking refuge in the Lord” from Psalm 118:8 as excellent topics for a church’s anniversary celebration. “Hope is our anchor,” according to Hebrews 6:19, is another solid option.

A church may also opt to centre its festivities on Acts 17:28’s sentence “In Him, we live, move, and have our being” or Hebrews 10:23’s phrase “Holding unswervingly to the hope we profess.”

Other verses to consider are II Corinthians 5:7’s “walking by faith, not by sight,” Matthew 5:14’s “the light of the world,” and Psalm 100:5’s “His faithfulness extends to all generations.”
