What are some of the more interesting anecdotes from Pastor Arnold Murray’s life?

Arnold B. Murray served as the previous pastor of The Shepherd’s Chapel church and broadcast facility in Gravette, Arkansas. These establishments can be found in the United States. Murray claims that he has a doctorate in theology and that he was a former United States Marine who served in the Korean War; however, this history has been investigated and found to be largely unsubstantiated. Murray also claims that he was a former U.S. Marine who served in the Korean War. In spite of this, Murray was able to establish a successful televangelism empire; as of the year 2015, more than 200 television stations carry broadcasts from The Shepherd’s Chapel.

Arnold B. Murray, who would later become a pastor, was born on April 20th, 1929 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Casey Brown Murray and Edgar Dude Murray were his parents. He was named after his father. He died on Feb. 12, 2014.

Arnold Murray, who identified himself as Pastor Murray, asserted that he had attended Biola University, despite the fact that the school’s registrar could find no record of such an individual having enrolled.
